About the Role
The Mohinani Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to provide critical leadership for the overall operation, safety, efficiency, and profitability of our ethanol manufacturing plant in Nigeria. You will ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, environmental compliance, and cost control across all operational units.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient production of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA).
- Supervise utilities including boilers, power generation, cooling systems, water treatment, and ETP while optimizing steam, power, water, and fuel consumption.
- Prepare and manage plant operating budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) and control raw material, chemical, and maintenance costs.
- Coordinate with procurement for feedstock availability, ensuring proper inventory control of raw materials and finished goods.
- Enforce systems that ensure plant operations meet strict QA/QC, process safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and present operational updates to senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering; a Master's degree (MBA or M.Tech) is an added advantage.
- 7-12 years of hands-on experience in ENA, ethanol, or distillery operations, with cassava-based processing experience being a distinct advantage.
- Previous working experience in Nigeria is highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, cost control, process safety, and HSE compliance.
