About the Role

HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading name in building solutions and construction materials in Sub-Saharan Africa, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Production Coordinator to join our plant operations. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities from raw material handling to cement dispatch, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage operational activities across raw grinding, clinker production, cement grinding, and dispatch processes safely and efficiently.
  • Lead SAP production execution, Month-End Closing (MEC), and raw material inventory management.
  • Coordinate daily Walk-by Inspections (WBI) with patrollers and inspectors to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Maintenance, Quality, Quarry, and Process departments.
  • Prioritize maintenance work orders, oversee contractor KPIs, and support plant turnaround planning.
  • Monitor energy consumption, enforce environmental compliance, and champion site safety best practices.
  • Manage Shift Leaders and CCR operators, providing coaching, performance appraisals, and targeted training.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any Engineering or Science-based discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduation work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cement or heavy industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, production planning, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing shift teams and technical personnel.
  • Proficiency in SAP and production management software.
