About the Role
Street Souk, Africa's premier streetwear convention and fashion festival based in Lagos, Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic and proactive Production Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will work closely with the Production Manager to plan and execute our flagship annual event and various cultural projects, ensuring that our celebration of African youth culture runs seamlessly from initial setup to final breakdown.
Key Responsibilities- Support end-to-end event setup, on-site production, and post-event breakdown activities in Lagos.
- Coordinate seamlessly with external vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional production teams.
- Assist with vital production logistics, equipment tracking, and material management.
- Provide robust on-ground execution support and troubleshoot emerging issues swiftly as they arise.
- Help ensure all production timelines, milestones, and master schedules are strictly met.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience working in event production, fashion festivals, or a related fast-paced role.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills tailored for a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive and remain calm under intense pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for African street fashion and youth culture.
- Willingness and flexibility to work unconventional hours, weekends, and intense event days.
