About the Role
Resurgir Consulting, a leading people-first HR and recruitment agency in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a proactive and dependable Production Assistant on behalf of our client. We are looking for a quality-driven professional with a strong background in Microbiology to support efficient manufacturing operations, ensure strict adherence to safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in food and beverage production.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily production of beverages and other products in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure all production activities fully comply with food safety, hygiene, and strict quality standards.
- Monitor active production processes closely and report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations promptly.
- Support the successful implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct routine quality assurance checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date production records and comprehensive documentation.
- Ensure the safe and proper handling, storage, and utilization of all raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider production team to consistently achieve daily manufacturing targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and hazard-free production environment.
- Assist in minimizing manufacturing waste to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.
- Comply strictly with all company health, safety, and environmental protection policies.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Microbiology or a closely related scientific field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven practical experience working in food or beverage production environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of local and international food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality control, and production documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and high ethical standards.
