About the Role
Flutterwave is on a mission to power a new wave of prosperity across Africa by building robust digital payment infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for Physical Channels to own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management of our Smart POS terminals, payment applications, and in-person acceptance solutions across Android, Linux, and Mini POS hardware. In this high-impact commercial control point, you will bridge merchant needs and engineering execution to guarantee high transaction success rates, seamless feature parity, and optimal merchant satisfaction across strategic portfolios in Lagos and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive the comprehensive product roadmap for physical channel applications across Android, Linux, and traditional POS devices.
- Enforce strict feature parity standards between legacy builds and revamped applications, ensuring reliable EOD reporting, dispute handling, and offline sync.
- Manage end-to-end terminal lifecycles, OEM partnerships, Remote Key Injection (RKI), Terminal Management System (TMS) updates, and PCI-PTS compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to facilitate pilot launches, mass deployments, and precise commercial pricing rule engines.
- Monitor transaction success rates, app stability, and terminal yield using data-driven insights to prioritize backlog items and optimize merchant engagement.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional product management experience within payments, fintech, or POS terminal hardware environments.
- Proven track record of successfully defining and executing product roadmaps for hardware-integrated or terminal-based software solutions.
- Deep understanding of terminal lifecycle management, firmware deployments, TMS/OTA update strategies, and local regulatory standards.
- Solid working knowledge of card schemes, switching networks, and PCI-PTS compliance requirements.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Engineering, QA, MIS, and Commercial teams.
