About the Role
Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Procurement Specialist to support the implementation and coordination of our country-level procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the strategic definition and monitoring of the country procurement strategy via detailed action plans and market anticipation.
- Coordinate market consultations, including calls for interest and tenders, while conducting comprehensive market analysis and supplier sourcing.
- Manage capital-level procurement in strict compliance with ACF procedures and specific donor regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to ACF policies regarding gender, safeguarding, and anti-fraud measures.
- Ensure the high quality of goods and services through rigorous technical verification, documentation of supplier visits, and dispute management.
- Enforce compliance with procurement policies, identify operational risks, and implement preventive controls against fraud and corruption.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience as a procurement officer or in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain systems, and regulatory policies.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills suitable for diverse team environments.
- Previous experience working with international NGOs or health-related humanitarian organizations is a distinct advantage.
