About the Role

DESAC Energy Nigeria Limited, a premier indigenous oil and gas, engineering, and industrial construction company based in Warri, Delta State, is seeking a diligent and results-driven Procurement Officer. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our extensive operations across oilfield services, marine logistics, fabrication, and maintenance by ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with reliable suppliers, vendors, and service providers to secure the best pricing and quality.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from issuing purchase orders and tracking shipments to ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement records, inventory logs, and vendor databases in compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering, project management, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and prevent project delays.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing channels within the energy sector.
  • Ensure all procured goods and services strictly meet industry standards, statutory regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven procurement experience, preferably within the oil and gas, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of local and international procurement procedures, supply chain logistics, and contract management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple vendor relationships effectively.
