About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently establishing innovation hubs at three prominent Nigerian universities: Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Ahmadu Bello University. This strategic initiative aims to develop top-tier technical talent in software engineering, AI, product, and data science.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement the comprehensive operating model for all three university innovation hubs from the ground up.
- Manage institutional relationships with Vice-Chancellors, deans, faculty leads, and student bodies.
- Build and oversee the industry mentorship pipeline, connecting students with experienced engineers, product leaders, and founders.
- Define academic standards, recruit and evaluate expert facilitators, and ensure consistent delivery across all sites.
- Manage physical infrastructure, budgets, vendor relationships, and on-ground operational teams.
- Establish accountability metrics focusing on graduate outcomes, job placement rates, and employer satisfaction.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing programs, teams, and budgets.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling technical training or workforce development programs from zero to one.
- Strong experience navigating complex stakeholder environments, including Nigerian universities and corporate entities.
- Deep understanding of modern software engineering education and industry hiring demands.
