About the Role
Proten International is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Procurement Officer on behalf of our esteemed client in the industrial sector. In this role, you will play a critical part in executing procurement activities for complex projects and operational requirements, ensuring seamless supply chain operations, strict adherence to company policies, and uncompromising ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review purchase requisitions, bills of quantities, and technical specifications to determine precise procurement needs.
- Identify, prequalify, and evaluate suppliers based on technical capability, commercial credentials, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare, issue, and manage RFQs and RFPs to secure competitive and technically compliant quotations.
- Coordinate closely with engineering and technical teams for comprehensive bid assessments and commercial comparisons.
- Process purchase orders and contracts in line with approved procedures and delegated authority limits.
- Monitor supplier orders, manufacturing progress, inspections, and logistics to guarantee timely site delivery.
- Utilize ERP systems, MS Excel, and digital tools for advanced procurement analysis and reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation while upholding zero tolerance for procurement fraud or unethical practices.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant procurement experience within petrochemical, fertilizer, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
- Strong expertise in supplier evaluation, RFQ/RFP management, commercial bid analysis, and contract administration.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and modern digital procurement tools.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
