As we expand our operations, we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Officer to join our dedicated team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supply of high-quality construction materials, ensuring that our projects maintain optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery without compromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities- Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors to secure the best pricing and terms for construction materials.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including requisition review, purchase order issuance, logistics coordination, and timely delivery to various project sites.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to prevent shortages, minimize waste, and optimize storage utilization.
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers to guarantee consistent quality and priority service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and the finance department to align procurement schedules with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Ensure all procured goods and services comply with industry standards, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to provide strategic recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or a related relevant discipline.
- Proven professional experience working as a Procurement Officer, Supply Chain Specialist, or in a similar purchasing role, preferably within the real estate or construction sector.
- Demonstrated strong technical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CIPS, ANUPA, or equivalent will be a distinct added advantage.
