About the Role
Fidas Consult Limited is partnering with a rapidly expanding agribusiness in Nigeria to recruit a smart, detail-oriented Procurement Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, cultivating strong vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services. Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor, you will play a vital part in optimizing our client's supply chain operations and supporting their continued agricultural growth.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure agricultural inputs, farming equipment, and essential operational supplies efficiently
- Negotiate terms and contracts with vendors to secure the best pricing, payment conditions, and product quality
- Prepare purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and maintain accurate, up-to-date procurement records
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent stockouts and ensure strict compliance with internal procurement policies
- Evaluate supplier performance continuously and identify alternative sourcing channels to mitigate supply risks
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of proven procurement experience, preferably within the agribusiness or FMCG sectors
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern procurement or ERP software
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suited for a dynamic working environment
- Competitive net monthly salary of NGN 400,000
