We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team and manage the strategic sourcing of medical and healthcare supplies. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the seamless operation of our supply chain activities within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure medications, medical consumables, and healthcare products from verified and reliable vendors.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to maximize cost efficiency.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking of critical medical supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, purchase orders, and receiving logs.
- Conduct regular quality checks on delivered medical goods to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments, pharmacies, and hospital staff to understand their supply needs and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- OND or HND in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in procurement or inventory management.
- Prior working experience in a pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare environment is strictly required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various medications, medical consumables, and healthcare procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation, inventory management, and meticulous record-keeping skills.
- Demonstrated high level of integrity, organizational ability, and keen attention to detail.
