About the Role
Neveah Limited is a leading commodities trading and manufacturing company established in 2014, specializing in the export of solid minerals and agricultural products alongside our industrial recycling operations. We are seeking a qualified and technically competent Procurement Officer to join our team at our Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. In this critical role based in Suleja, Niger State, you will drive efficient sourcing strategies to support our recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities- Source and vet reliable suppliers of scrap materials, aluminium, copper, and other essential raw materials.
- Procure goods in strict adherence to company guidelines regarding pricing quotes, bids, and vendor selection.
- Update and maintain the supplier database regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Engage and manage supplier relationships, discussing contracts and terms in coordination with management.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods.
- Monitor scrap suppliers to ensure deliverables and timelines are consistently met.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly procurement reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven purchasing or procurement experience within a recycling facility.
- Demonstrated experience in aluminum and copper scraps procurement is strictly required.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time-management abilities with the capacity to multitask and lead effectively.
