About the Role
MTN Nigeria, Africa's leading cellular telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager - Procurement to join our vibrant team. In this strategic role, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities to deliver cost optimization, supply continuity, and value for money through effective sourcing, contracting, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement activities from demand identification through sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and close-out.
- Develop and implement robust category strategies aligned with business priorities and budget requirements.
- Execute strategic sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to ensure transparent and competitive outcomes.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, contractual terms, and high service quality.
- Conduct thorough spend and market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Manage key supplier relationships, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure strict compliance with approved procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Membership in a recognized professional body such as CIPS or CIPSMN is an added advantage.
- 6 to 13 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or commercial negotiation.
- Proven track record in vendor management, cost optimization, and contract administration, preferably within Telecommunications, Fintech, or Technology.
