About the Role
Daily Trust, a leading media powerhouse in Nigeria, is seeking talented, driven media professionals to help shape our expanding multimedia and political content desks. We are currently recruiting for two key positions: Documentary Producer, Senior Officer and Associate Political Editor. Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Production: Research, pitch, script, direct, and produce short-form and long-form investigative documentaries for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Newsroom Collaboration: Partner closely with investigative reporters and data journalists to translate complex investigations into compelling visual narratives.
- Daily Desk Management: Plan and execute daily political diaries, ensuring comprehensive, fair, and authoritative coverage of Nigerian government and elections.
- Analytical Editing: Edit fast-paced political news, analytical opinion columns, and deep-dive investigative explainers across print, web, and broadcast.
- For Documentary Producer: 6+ years of proven experience producing mini-documentaries or high-end video journalism with advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and field cinematography. A strong showreel is mandatory.
- For Associate Political Editor: 15+ years of active political reporting or editing experience with an impressive track record of political scoops and an extensive network of contacts within Nigerian civic and government circles.
