About the Role
StyledByLayo, a premier womenswear fashion brand renowned for bespoke, high-end designs frequently worn by media personalities at high-profile events, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in our production and academy operations by ensuring seamless supply chains, exceptional vendor relationships, and optimal inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and source reliable vendors for quality fabrics, sewing materials, equipment, office supplies, and operational needs.
- Request, analyze, and compare quotations to guarantee the best value for money without compromising on quality.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, flexible payment terms, and prompt delivery schedules with all suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels closely to ensure continuous stock availability for our fashion production and training academy operations.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and promptly report any discrepancies to management.
- Ensure timely procurement processes to prevent any disruption in tailoring classes and garment production.
- Handle logistics and track procurement-related deliveries efficiently.
- Minimum of an OND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be male, bringing diversity to our operational team.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably within the fashion or womenswear industry.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and vendor management skills.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, documentation, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management tools is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, integrity, and accountability.
