About the Role
Lafiya Nigeria is a global health non-profit organisation that empowers women through access to contraception and family planning in remote communities. As we transition into a national-scale organisation, we are seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations, ensuring absolute transparency, regulatory compliance, and value for money across all activities.
Key Responsibilities- Guide staff through the procurement process from direct purchases to open tenders, ensuring adherence to internal thresholds and multi-entity regulations.
- Review Purchase Request Forms, source competitive quotes, coordinate evaluation panels, and issue Purchase Orders.
- Conduct rigorous vendor due diligence, maintain the preferred vendor register, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Maintain electronic procurement documentation systems and track sole-source and emergency procurements.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly analyses of procurement performance, cycle times, unit costs, and vendor delivery metrics.
- Onboard new staff on procurement policies and provide ongoing training and guidance materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant procurement or operations experience, preferably within an NGO or international development setting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience managing multi-currency transactions across NGN, GBP, and USD.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to train non-specialist colleagues.
- Working knowledge of cloud document management and ERP software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
