We are currently recruiting an experienced and results-driven Procurement Executive to join our client's dynamic team in Nigeria. In this strategic role, you will oversee sourcing, purchasing, expediting, logistics, and supplier management to drive cost optimization and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including purchasing, expediting, logistics, and material handling.
- Develop and implement robust procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable contract terms with suppliers to achieve significant cost savings.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, product availability, quality standards, and delivery performance.
- Manage procurement budgets, monitor operational costs, and drive working capital optimization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks and potential operational disruptions.
- Ensure proper contract management and full compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular market surveys and maintain an updated procurement cost database.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supply chain efficiency for senior leadership.
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is mandatory.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant procurement and sourcing experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Compulsory hands-on experience in logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in utilizing the NIPEX Portal for upstream oil and gas procurement in Nigeria.
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Master's Degree (MBA or MSc) will be an added advantage.
