About the Role
Nestlé Nigeria is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Packaging Development Manager to join our esteemed team at the Agbara Factory. In this pivotal role, you will drive business growth by delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable packaging solutions that meet rigorous quality and compliance standards, directly impacting millions of consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end packaging development for new product introductions, ensuring on-time and cost-effective launches.
- Ensure compliance with food-contact packaging regulations, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by implementing material reduction strategies and lower-environmental-impact solutions.
- Manage technical relationships and performance audits with packaging suppliers, converters, and co-packers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing to optimize factory packaging operations.
- Develop, mentor, and coach the factory packaging team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive packaging experience within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of packaging technology, materials, conversion processes, and line automation.
- Familiarity with HACCP, TPM, LEAN manufacturing, SHE principles, and sustainability tools like LCA/PIQET.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and influence at the factory management level.
