About the Role
Bayshore Technologies is a specialist service provider delivering the best support and implementing services to our clients across the whole of Africa. We are currently looking for a proactive and organized Procurement Assistant to join our growing supply chain team in Nigeria. In this role, you will support our end-to-end procurement functions, helping to streamline purchasing processes, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure company policies are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and other procurement requirements.
- Support the preparation and processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and other procurement documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, contracts, and procurement transactions.
- Assist in managing vendor and contractual relationships to support procurement activities.
- Follow up with vendors on orders, deliveries, outstanding documentation, and payment-related requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues relating to quality, delivery, pricing, or compliance.
- Assist with obtaining and comparing quotations to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with approved company procedures and relevant requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfilment.
- Assist with vendor onboarding, evaluation, and periodic performance reviews.
- Support the review and renewal of vendor contracts and maintain a database of contract expiry dates.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide relevant updates to the Supply Chain/Procurement Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or a related role.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good organizational and time-management skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
