About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Process Design Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in Nigeria and contribute to our landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize comprehensive process design packages including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing calculations.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of process systems with mechanical, electrical, and piping designs.
  • Conduct thorough safety and risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies, ensuring strict adherence to industry codes and environmental standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications, datasheets, and inquiry requisitions for process equipment such as pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and separators.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, modularization, site installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards like ASME, API, and ISO.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of proven experience in process design within the oil, gas, petrochemical, or energy sector.
  • Proficiency in standard process simulation and design software such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or Pro/II.
  • Solid understanding of international codes, standards, and engineering best practices relevant to the Nigerian petroleum industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant professional certifications or progress toward chartership will be an added advantage.
