About the Role
Powergas Nigeria, a subsidiary of Powergas Africa, is Africa's leading compressed natural gas (CNG) distributor and pioneer in off-pipeline gas distribution. We provide CNG solutions to clients in areas where piped natural gas infrastructure is unavailable. With five operational CNG plants across Nigeria boasting over 720,000 scm daily production capacity, we are currently constructing one of West Africa's largest CNG facilities.
As a PRMS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our pipeline operations through advanced risk management practices. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge systems while contributing to Nigeria's energy infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the Company's Pipeline Risk Management System (PRMS)
- Conduct comprehensive pipeline risk assessments and analysis
- Design and execute risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational safety
- Monitor and evaluate pipeline integrity performance metrics
- Support regulatory compliance requirements and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in pipeline risk management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety and operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)
- Proven experience with pipeline risk management systems and assessments
- Strong knowledge of pipeline integrity and safety standards
- Proficiency in risk analysis tools and methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Nigerian and international regulatory frameworks
- Professional certification in risk management is advantageous
