About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14, 2024, with the mandate to improve the healthcare needs of Nigerians and increase manpower output in the sector. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy into a dynamic university comprising six faculties and 17 departments, FUAHSE is committed to excellence in education and healthcare service delivery. We are currently seeking a qualified and proactive Principal Store Officer II to oversee our inventory management, warehousing operations, and supply chain logistics to support our expanding academic and administrative framework.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the university stores, ensuring proper receiving, storage, and issuance of goods and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, stock ledgers, and digital database systems to prevent discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock audits, physical inventory counts, and reconciliation reports to minimize waste and loss.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to forecast stock requirements, issue purchase requisitions, and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety standards, and government regulations regarding asset management and warehousing.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior storekeeping and logistics personnel to enhance departmental productivity.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional qualifications in supply chain management, procurement, or storekeeping will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated professional experience in inventory management, storekeeping, or logistics, preferably within a tertiary institution or the public sector.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
