We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Quality Design Engineer to join our high-performing technical team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and elevate the quality assurance of all engineering designs, ensuring full compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and company expectations. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the quality assurance and design verification processes for all engineering projects across maritime and oil and gas operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems specific to technical services, laser scanning, and engineering design.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to review drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct rigorous audits, risk assessments, and design reviews to identify potential non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with external regulators, clients, and classification societies to ensure all deliverables meet statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of demonstrable quality design engineering experience within the oil, gas, maritime, or petrochemical industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API, DNV).
  • Proven expertise in engineering design review, technical auditing, and risk management methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional certifications in quality management or engineering are a distinct advantage.
