About the Role
Alpha Bravo Integrated Services Limited is a premier provider of customized technical solutions for the maritime, petrochemical, energy, oil, and gas industries. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Process Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will spearhead advanced process design activities, ensure strict compliance with industry standards, and deliver innovative engineering solutions that drive operational excellence across our offshore and onshore operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of comprehensive process design packages including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, and equipment sizing specifications.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with relevant international codes, Nigerian industry regulations, and company quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level process engineers within the department.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and marine engineering departments to ensure seamless project integration.
- Conduct rigorous safety and risk assessments such as HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies to maintain optimal operational safety.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, and technical documentation while liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive process design experience within the oil, gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in using industry-standard simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or Aspen Plus.
- In-depth knowledge of international design codes, standards, and safety practices (API, ASME, ISO, NFPA).
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.
- Professional engineering certification or active membership with relevant engineering bodies is highly preferred.
