About the Role

Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited is an independent Nigerian energy firm that emerged as a major player in the oil and gas industry after acquiring Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC). We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Principal Offshore Structures Engineer to join our team in driving cutting-edge shallow offshore projects and enhancing asset integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical input and assurance throughout the project lifecycle including Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning stages.
  • Manage all Civil/Structures Offshore (CSO) engineering activities and deliverables for the HA/HB-Buko Projects.
  • Ensure engineering design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and installation comply with standards, project objectives, HSSE, and contractual requirements.
  • Perform technical studies and carry out structural analysis and design using SACS and other civil/structural design software.
  • Manage contractor delivery of design and specialist discipline work in line with project cost, schedule, quality, and HSSE requirements.
  • Define geotechnical investigation work scopes, perform foundation design, and drive innovative solutions for economic performance.
  • Provide discipline input through participation in safety workshops and value assurance events such as HAZID, HAZOPS, and VARs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant engineering experience within the oil and gas industry, specifically with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals.
  • Proficient in the use of SACS software for offshore structures design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSSE frameworks, international engineering standards, and asset integrity best practices.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and multi-disciplinary team management skills.
  • Demonstrable record of successfully delivering structural engineering solutions for new projects and existing assets.
