About the Role
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited is a leading independent Nigerian energy firm dedicated to operational excellence and asset integrity across the oil and gas sector. We are currently seeking a dynamic and seasoned Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to drive technical input and assurance for our high-impact HA/HB-Buko Projects. In this vital role, you will oversee all Civil and Structures Offshore (CSO) engineering activities from the conceptual and FEED stages through to detailed design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Define Civil and Structural scopes of work, specifications, and requirements within ITT packages while applying systems engineering best practices.
- Perform complex technical studies and execute structural analysis and design utilizing SACS and other industry-standard software.
- Provide rigorous technical assurance and review for all FEED, detailed design deliverables, and geotechnical foundation designs.
- Supervise contractor delivery and site construction works to guarantee alignment with project cost, schedule, quality, and HSSE standards.
- Manage technical risks, oversee standard deviations, and actively participate in safety and value assurance workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, and peer reviews.
- Lead strategic initiatives to enhance shallow offshore asset integrity, drive cost efficiency, and implement innovative engineering solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals, alongside deep knowledge of international engineering codes and HSSE frameworks.
- Proficiency in using SACS software for advanced offshore structural design and analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, multi-disciplinary stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
