About the Role
Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited is a prominent independent Nigerian energy firm driving innovation and growth in the oil and gas sector. We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Principal Offshore Engineer (HUC) to lead critical hook-up and commissioning activities for our offshore topsides and bridges.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise all hook-up and commissioning (HUC) activities for topsides, bridges, and associated systems at the offshore project site.
- Support the SWO Execution Lead with transportation and installation (T&I) of in-country jackets and out-of-country topsides and bridges.
- Administer T&I and HUC contracts within defined cost and schedule parameters while managing contractor interfaces.
- Provide critical engineering input into detailed design (DED) to ensure seamless offshore installation, hook-up, and commissioning.
- Manage risk assessment processes, deliver risk-mitigation strategies, and drive cost-saving opportunities across all project phases.
- Ensure smooth handover of platforms and bridges from T&I to HUC contractors, and ultimately to Operations for dynamic commissioning.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline with mandatory COREN registration.
- Minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
- At least 10 years of specific experience in offshore commissioning, with a minimum of 5 years in an offshore execution role.
- Proven expertise in commissioning diverse systems including gas compression, power generation, utilities, and PACO.
- Strong background in contract management and multi-platform commissioning within challenging operational environments.
- Valid offshore safety certifications including BOSIET and OSP.
