About the Role
Alpha Bravo Integrated Services Limited is a premier provider of specialized engineering and technical solutions tailored for the maritime, petrochemical, energy, oil, and gas industries across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead our engineering design team, delivering robust, safe, and efficient systems for our high-profile offshore and onshore operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed mechanical design of complex systems for marine and oil and gas projects.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and 3D models produced by junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with international codes, industry standards, and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and clients to align deliverables with project scopes and timelines.
- Conduct technical risk assessments, failure analyses, and value engineering studies to optimize system performance and safety.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering staff to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years of proven engineering design experience within the oil, gas, maritime, or petrochemical sectors.
- Active registration with COREN and membership in relevant professional engineering bodies.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAD software, finite element analysis (FEA), and laser scanning data interpretation.
- In-depth knowledge of international design codes such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO.
