About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated Principal Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this senior role, you will act as a key technical resource, performing complex diagnostics, mentoring junior personnel, and upholding stringent biosafety and quality assurance standards to meet international benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced and specialized laboratory testing while serving as a clinical and technical resource for colleagues.
- Provide daily guidance, oversight, and mentorship to junior laboratory staff and trainees.
- Ensure strict adherence to biosafety compliance and quality control protocols at the section level.
- Contribute actively to internal audits, continuous professional development (CPD), and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, equipment competence, and rapid fault identification to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized institution.
- Completion of mandatory national internship and NYSC, alongside a valid professional license.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in medical laboratory science practice beyond entry level.
- Advanced knowledge of multidisciplinary laboratory practices and equipment troubleshooting.
- Specialty training or relevant professional certifications will be considered an added advantage.
