About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated and skilled Principal Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this senior role, you will perform complex laboratory tests, provide technical guidance to junior staff, and uphold rigorous quality and biosafety standards to support our innovative screening and healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex and specialized laboratory testing while serving as a reliable technical resource for colleagues.
- Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and quality checks for junior laboratory staff and trainees.
- Ensure strict compliance with biosafety protocols and maintain quality assurance standards across the section.
- Participate actively in departmental audits, continuous professional development (CPD), and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, manage laboratory equipment, and assist with prompt fault identification and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must have completed the mandatory national internship and NYSC, or possess a valid exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in medical laboratory science practice beyond the entry level.
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory practices, quality control, and biosafety compliance.
- Specialty training or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
