About the Role
Robert Walters is representing an esteemed international financial institution seeking an experienced finance professional for a Principal Banker role within their Real Estate team in Nigeria. This strategic position involves driving complex real estate and hospitality transactions through their full project life cycle, contributing to regional economic development, and mentoring junior professionals to uphold international banking standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the structuring and execution of complex real estate and hospitality transactions across the full project life cycle.
- Provide expert portfolio monitoring, value creation advice, and active supervision to junior project team members.
- Engage in vital policy dialogue initiatives at both project and national levels in collaboration with internal banking teams.
- Drive business development efforts to build reputable market contacts, secure a strong deal flow, and cross-sell bank competencies.
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor junior bankers to ensure exceptional quality of project work and optimal workload distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Extensive experience in real estate financing or development gained within commercial banks, investment banks, IFIs, private equity, asset management, or top-tier financial consulting firms.
- Advanced quantitative and financial modeling skills with a strong command of local and international accounting principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, risk management, and comprehensive stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and negotiation skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
