About the Role
Rainbow Educational Services Limited (RESL) is a premier education management company in Nigeria operating top-tier K-12 institutions, including Pampers Private School and Rainbow College. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Primary School Expressive Art and Design Teacher to join our dedicated academic team. In this role, you will shape the creative minds of our primary students, introducing them to foundational and advanced artistic concepts while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment equipped with modern educational technology.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver comprehensive lessons on art and art history aligned with established learning objectives and international standards.
- Prepare the classroom environment by gathering, organizing, and setting up necessary art equipment and materials.
- Develop and refine students' drawing, coloring, painting, and foundational crafting techniques.
- Provide clear instruction on the proper use of diverse media, including graphite, charcoal pencils, oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints.
- Design, assign, and grade creative projects, practical assessments, and examinations.
- Monitor, record, and report accurately on individual student progress and artistic development.
- Supervise group work effectively, ensuring collaborative and safe participation among all students.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring art studio and classroom space after every lesson.
- Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts coupled with a recognized teaching qualification, or an equivalent academic background.
- Demonstrated excellence and versatility in a wide variety of traditional and contemporary art techniques.
- Strong 21st-century teaching skills with the ability to seamlessly utilize interactive and smart boards.
- Outstanding lesson planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Supportive, patient, and flexible disposition suited for primary education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to engage students and parents alike.
- Current Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification will be considered a distinct advantage.
