About the Role
Brickhall School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Assistant Class Teacher to join our vibrant academic community. As a Primary Assistant Class Teacher, you will work closely with the lead class teacher to ensure that every child receives quality, engaging, and effective instruction. You will play a key role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils while contributing to a fun and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the lead teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to primary school pupils
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive, disciplined learning environment
- Prepare teaching materials, learning aids, and classroom displays to enhance the learning experience
- Monitor and record pupils' academic progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the lead teacher
- Provide individualized attention and support to pupils who require additional help
- Supervise pupils during indoor and outdoor activities, including play and recreational periods
- Ensure classroom resources and equipment are properly maintained and utilised
- Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching practices with the school's curriculum and standards
- Support the implementation of the British Curriculum where applicable, including preparation for Cambridge examinations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupils' progress when required
- A Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Proficiency in the British Curriculum will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputable school or educational organisation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education
- Candidates applying for IGCSE/Checkpoint positions must have proven experience delivering the British Curriculum and preparing students for Cambridge examinations
