About the Role

Little Steps Preparatory School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Nursery Class Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that ensures a smooth transition for children from their home environment into formal schooling. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a engaging, age-appropriate curriculum tailored to pre-nursery students.
  • Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and record developmental milestones, progress, and behavioral patterns for each child.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding their child's daily activities.
  • Manage classroom behavior patiently while promoting basic sharing, manners, and cooperative play.
  • Assist children with personal care, hygiene routines, and snack times to encourage independence.
  • Organize fun indoor and outdoor activities that promote motor skills and cognitive development.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Pre-Nursery, Kindergarten, or Early Years Teacher.
  • Exceptional patience, empathy, and passion for working with toddlers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with young children and parents.
  • Creativity in lesson planning using storytelling, songs, crafts, and interactive play.
