About the Role
Mudiame University, a premier federal-government licensed private institution located in Irrua, Edo State, is seeking a dedicated and physically fit Porter to join our vibrant campus operations team. Key Responsibilities- Transport luggage, packages, equipment, and supplies securely across various campus buildings and facilities.
- Welcome students, staff, visitors, and dignitaries with high standards of professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist with the setup of halls and venues for university lectures, meetings, examinations, and special events.
- Monitor campus entry points, maintain order in common areas, and report any suspicious activities or maintenance issues to security or facility management.
- Perform routine porterage duties, including sorting mail, running administrative errands, and managing heavy loads safely.
- Ensure all goods and materials entrusted to your care are delivered promptly and intact to the designated recipients.
- Possession of a relevant school certificate or equivalent academic qualification.
- Proven previous experience working as a porter, messenger, or in a general facilities support role is highly advantageous.
- Good physical health and stamina, with the ability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced academic environment.
