About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE), established on March 14, 2024, is dedicated to advancing healthcare education and building skilled manpower in Nigeria. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, FUAHSE now comprises six faculties and 17 departments, aiming to combat the national brain drain and deliver world-class training in allied health sciences. We are currently seeking a reliable and diligent Porter to join our expanding campus operations and support our daily institutional activities.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control access to university buildings, gates, and designated facilities to ensure campus security.
- Greet students, staff, and visitors professionally, providing accurate directions and general assistance.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and internal correspondence to relevant departments.
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in reception areas and entry points.
- Report any suspicious activities, maintenance issues, or safety hazards immediately to the appropriate university authorities.
- Assist with the movement of equipment, furniture, and supplies across campus facilities as required.
- Must possess relevant academic certificates or professional qualifications suited for a porter or security role.
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and a high level of personal discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or demanding situations.
