About the Role
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a research and policy nonprofit that discovers and promotes effective solutions to global poverty problems. We bring together researchers and decision-makers to design, rigorously evaluate, and refine these solutions, ensuring that evidence is actively used to improve the lives of the world's poor. We are looking for a dedicated Policy Support Intern to contribute to our impactful work in the Nigeria Country Office.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating day-to-day research and policy activities from planning to implementation.
- Support the preparation of training materials and collaborate on enumerator training and survey piloting.
- Help monitor data collection processes to guarantee high data quality and integrity.
- Assist in drafting clear progress reports, presentations, and evidence briefs for stakeholders and donors.
- Maintain accurate records and support partner engagement and communication efforts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Science, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
- Familiarity with statistical software such as Stata is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional professional writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter mindset with a deep passion for international development and poverty alleviation in Nigeria.
