About the Role
The People Practice is partnering with a major stakeholder in Nigeria's energy sector to recruit a dynamic and experienced Executive Assistant. In this critical role, you will act as the strategic anchor for the organisation's leadership and the COO. You will control the flow of information, protect leadership time, and ensure that executive decisions are seamlessly translated into immediate action while navigating the intersection of public sector bureaucracy and corporate speed.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively triage meeting requests, resolve conflicting priorities, and build daily schedules that maximize productivity and minimize burnout.
- Act as a polished point of contact for high-level external stakeholders, diplomatically managing access based on strategic alignment and urgency.
- Draft, review, and dispatch sensitive correspondence, ensuring incoming briefs and memos are summarized and routed appropriately.
- Prepare agendas, compile comprehensive briefing packs, take concise minutes, and ruthlessly track action items to completion.
- Maintain a secure and meticulously organized digital and physical filing system for critical government documents and project briefs.
- Provide agile administrative support to the COO to ensure seamless alignment between executive schedules and wider office workflows.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting C-suite executives in fast-paced corporate environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders or public figures with a strong understanding of official state protocols and civil service sensitivities.
- Power-user capabilities in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, advanced Outlook calendar management, and SharePoint.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to independently follow up on assigned tasks.
