About the Role
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, a leading global asset-light container shipping company, is looking for an experienced Policy / Process Implementation Manager to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that operational policies and procedures are effectively developed, implemented, and maintained in alignment with business goals, regulatory frameworks, and Head Office directives. You will champion organizational efficiency, manage demurrage collection efforts, and enforce strict adherence to corporate governance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with key stakeholders to draft, review, and update comprehensive organizational policies.
- Design and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, minimize risk, and support full regulatory compliance.
- Lead the seamless rollout of new policies and processes across departments to ensure smooth transitions.
- Identify operational gaps, risks, and inefficiencies, proactively implementing corrective measures.
- Create and execute a robust internal audit process to continuously monitor policy and process effectiveness.
- Investigate long-standing and current demurrage balances, driving collection efforts to maximize financial gains and reduce outstanding deficits.
- Establish monthly actionable targets to foster strict operational adherence and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience across diverse shipping disciplines, including finance, commercial operations, and Demurrage or Detention management.
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for diverse audiences.
