About the Role
Evidence Action is seeking a dedicated and proactive Policy and Government Engagement Support Personnel to strengthen our relationships with government stakeholders in Nigeria. In this temporary role, you will play a crucial part in advancing evidence-based policy changes across public health and development systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct desktop research on relevant government policies, legislative developments, and public health initiatives.
- Secure, coordinate, and independently host meetings with key government officials, ministries, and agencies.
- Prepare accurate policy briefs, briefing materials, presentation templates, and follow-up correspondence.
- Maintain and update stakeholder databases, tracking systems, and calendars of advocacy opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align policy engagement with ongoing programmatic goals and complete professional development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Development, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, public administration, or a similar advocacy role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with conversational Hausa being an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and design tools such as Canva.
- Tenacious, resourceful, and highly organized with a proven ability to navigate bureaucratic environments and secure appointments.
