About the Role
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Plumbing Instructor to join our expanding academic and vocational training community. In this role, you will be responsible for imparting practical and theoretical knowledge of plumbing systems to our students, ensuring they acquire industry-standard competencies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical hands-on training in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Develop and update the plumbing curriculum in line with current industry standards and educational requirements.
- Assess student performance through practical examinations, assignments, and continuous evaluations.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and well-equipped workshop environment for all practical training sessions.
- Guide students on workshop safety protocols, tool handling, and modern plumbing technologies.
- Collaborate with other departmental instructors and university staff to promote holistic student development.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or relevant Trade Test certification in Plumbing and Pipefitting or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in practical plumbing, installation, and maintenance.
- Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience in a vocational or academic setting is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
