About the Role
Abuja Clinics, a premier healthcare provider established in 1989 with branches in Karu, Garki, and Maitama, is seeking a professional Plumber to join our facility management team. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless operation of water supply, drainage, and plumbing infrastructure across our multi-facility hospital network. You will work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene required in a medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and showers throughout the hospital facilities.
- Installs secure supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to structural installation.
- Collaborates effectively with contractors, construction workers, and electricians during facility upgrades and urgent repair works.
- Conducts routine inspections of plumbing systems to detect leaks, corrosion, or wear and tear, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
- Responds promptly to emergency plumbing issues to minimize downtime and disruption to clinical and patient care services.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a relevant discipline.
- Possession of a recognized Trade Test Certification in Plumbing.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a hospital, hospitality, or corporate facility management setting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond swiftly to maintenance emergencies.
