About the Role
Proforce Limited is a globally recognized defence solution provider specializing in armoured vehicles and personal protection, delivering confidence in protective mobility across Africa. We are currently seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Assistant Production Manager to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Ode Remo, Ogun State. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Production Manager to drive efficiency, supervise manufacturing teams, and maintain our high standards of engineering excellence in vehicle production.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing daily automobile production activities.
- Supervise production personnel, manage manpower allocation, and monitor workflows to achieve targets within specified timelines.
- Monitor assembly and manufacturing processes to ensure strict compliance with approved engineering specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores, and Procurement departments.
- Identify and report production delays, equipment breakdowns, defects, and process inefficiencies promptly.
- Implement measures to minimize production downtime, reduce operational waste, and optimize costs.
- Ensure the proper use, handling, and preventive maintenance of production machinery and tools.
- Enforce workplace safety rules and HSE requirements across all manufacturing operations.
- Prepare comprehensive daily and periodic production reports for executive management.
- Participate in training, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of shop-floor production staff.
- Step in to lead manufacturing operations and cover duties for the Production Manager when required.
- Bachelor degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years of direct, hands-on experience in automobile production.
- Proven expertise in vehicle assembly, automotive components, and heavy manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, ERP software, and preventive maintenance.
