About the Role
Zigma Limited, a leading petroleum and petrochemical company in Africa, is seeking a seasoned PLR Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will drive the successful delivery of complex offshore pipeline projects from the pre-FID stage through to post-FID execution, ensuring safety, quality, and strict adherence to global industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the comprehensive review of pipeline engineering deliverables, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries and contract alignment.
- Supervise pipeline design activities including route engineering, wall thickness selection, on-bottom stability, free-span, buckling, and corrosion protection.
- Support installation engineering by reviewing lay tension, curvature limits, weather limitations, and offshore installation procedures.
- Provide expert technical support during fabrication, construction, and pre-commissioning to resolve site queries and engineering changes.
- Act as the primary Company technical representative for pipeline engineering matters with EPC contractors, vendors, and third-party specialists.
- Participate actively in technical meetings, constructability reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and risk management workshops.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional engineering experience with at least 10 years focused on project and project management.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in offshore and onshore pipeline design.
- Demonstrated background in offshore and onshore pipeline installation methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of international oil and gas codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
