About the Role
HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading name in building solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Planner to join our world-class manufacturing facility in Sagamu, Ogun State. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for validating production data, consolidating key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving operational excellence to support our ambitious growth and sustainability goals across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, control, and execute the comprehensive plant production plan aligned with business targets and sales forecasts.
- Maintain the industrial statistical database, manage daily, monthly, and yearly reports, and reconcile production stocks including raw materials, fuels, AFR, and finished goods.
- Ensure optimal utilization of major plant assets such as crushers, raw mills, kilns, cement mills, and packers.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to align production schedules with preventive maintenance and major kiln shutdowns, maximizing equipment availability.
- Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and assist the Plant Manager in formulating daily, weekly, and monthly operational strategies.
- Analyze variable costs, champion industrial consumption efficiencies, and assist the plant controller with month-end closings and stock-taking.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting cost and performance benchmarking with best-in-class facilities and supporting root cause analysis (RCA) tracking.
- Ensure strict compliance with all site safety procedures, environmental policies, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 12 years of extensive working experience within a cement manufacturing plant, specifically in production, process, or quality departments.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial budgeting capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to handle large-scale or multi-plant operations.
