About the Role
eRecruiter Nigeria is currently sourcing a qualified Service Technician on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor within the Nigerian construction industry. Located in the vibrant business hub of Ikoyi, Lagos, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to handle critical mechanical and electrical systems installation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, maintain, test, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment and system faults to ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance schedules as required.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent client service requests.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals accurately.
- Assist with equipment installation, site commissioning, and thorough testing.
- Replace faulty components and execute necessary mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory parts used.
- Prepare comprehensive service reports and escalate technical issues to the Service Manager.
- Liaise professionally with clients, providing top-tier technical support where required.
- Ensure all operations strictly comply with company quality, safety, and HSE standards.
- Possession of an OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven, relevant experience in equipment servicing, maintenance, or installation.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and effective troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with standard electrical testing and maintenance procedures.
- Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and record-keeping.
