About the Role
Sagad Farms Limited is a revolutionary 1000-acre rice farm transforming Nigerian agriculture through modern crop building, strategic dam-adjacent land acquisitions, and advanced processing techniques. We are looking for a dedicated Plant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art rice mill in Kano State, ensuring maximum productivity, safety, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end rice milling operations, production planning, and manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and safety targets.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate plant personnel to maintain seamless workflow and high morale.
- Manage raw material inventory, optimize production schedules, and swiftly troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across the facility.
- Collaborate closely with farm, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of premium finished products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on maximizing yield, minimizing waste, and enhancing equipment reliability.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Agricultural Engineering, Production Management, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in plant operations, manufacturing, FMCG, or agro-processing.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a senior supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in rice milling or advanced food processing environments is a distinct advantage.
- Strong track record of improving production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and equipment uptime.
