About the Role
Denco Agric-Business Ltd is a dynamic start-up integrated livestock farm located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, focused on modern, clean, and profitable farming operations. We are seeking a hardworking, honest, and reliable Farm Attendant to join our dedicated team and contribute to our continuous growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily feeding, watering, and overall care for livestock, specifically pigs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene through regular cleaning and disinfection of pens and farm surroundings.
- Monitor animal health, growth patterns, and behavior, reporting any signs of illness immediately to management.
- Assist with vaccination administration, animal weighing, and sorting processes.
- Maintain accurate daily records regarding feed consumption, stock levels, and mortality rates.
- Assist with the loading and offloading of feed, farm inputs, and livestock.
- Ensure strict adherence to farm biosecurity, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times.
- Execute general farm maintenance duties as assigned by the Farm Manager.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification; an OND or NCE in Animal Health or Agricultural Science is an added advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of practical experience working on a poultry or piggery farm is preferred, though passionate fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Must be physically fit, capable of handling manual labor, and comfortable working directly with farm animals.
- Must be honest, punctual, highly teachable, and either currently resident in Yenagoa or willing to relocate.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
- Must have a clean record with no criminal history.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from N80,000 to N100,000 based on experience, plus performance bonuses.
