About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource provider for the Nigerian economy, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pipe / Structural Fitting II professional. In this vital role, you will execute high-quality pipe and structural fitting activities, ensuring all installations adhere strictly to approved engineering drawings, project specifications, and rigorous HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precise pipe fitting and structural fitting activities in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Read, interpret, and execute work based on P&IDs, piping isometrics, fabrication drawings, and structural blueprints.
- Measure, mark, cut, bevel, fit, and align pipes and structural members accurately before welding.
- Install pipe supports, flanges, valves, fittings, brackets, platforms, ladders, and handrails.
- Carry out flange alignment, bolt-up, gasket installation, and mechanical assembly.
- Collaborate closely with welders, fabricators, mechanical technicians, and QA/QC personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist with pressure testing, flushing, reinstatement, and mechanical completion activities.
- Strictly adhere to site safety regulations, including Permit to Work (PTW), JSA/JHA, LOTO, and hot-work procedures.
- Minimum of an OND, technical certificate, trade certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Pipe Fitting, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, fabrication, construction, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and structural fabrication drawings.
- Strong working knowledge of piping components, valves, flanges, structural steel members, and alignment tools.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environment (HSE) requirements for industrial construction activities.
